Last week I placed an order on Etsy and a few days later this beautiful, upcycled changing mat came to our door. Normadot is a danish company that hand screen print on all there products, the colors are subtle but yet interesting and I just love this portable changing mat made out of upcycled materials.
Check them out HERE.
Btw, at Etsy I’ve found a lot of organic, environmental friendly baby products that I plan to get my hands on.
You know you made a good deal when you find a bodysuit made of organic cotton for only 5 Swedish kronas, and how cute are those tiny socks? Also from a second-hand shop here in town.
The pacifier though is brand new made out of natural rubber, not sure about this pacifier thing but we figure it’s good to have at least one home, but I think you should try to satisfy your babies natural needs with natural methods, like changing diaper, feeding or the baby might just need some skin-to-skin to feel calm. But hey, we’ll see, the baby is’nt here yet.
After a long day in the sun and biking around town we’re going to enjoy this plate full of freshness and watch one of our favorite movies, Howl’s Moving Castle. If you like Japanese childrens movies you need to watch this one.
This is truly a blessing. I still can’t believe that my body is carrying a second child, I try to enjoy and appreciate this pregnancy as much as possible, It may be my last.
For breakfast I usually end up making the same thing for a few reasons; 1 it's easy, 2 it's inexpensive, 3 it's filling and the most important reason, it's so delicious!
So what does the breakfast contain?
– 1-2 dl oats
– 2 tablespoons of chiaseeds
– 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds
– pour some nutmilk (I use oatmilk) over the seeds and oats so it's generously soaked
– add fresh strawberries, banana and drizzle any nutbutter of choice (I use pure organic peanutbutter)
+ I drink about 800 ml of water and I take my B12 and Zinc supplements aswell.
Me and my husband eat very similiar breakfasts but our six year old eats a more versatile meal. This morning he ate oatyoghurt with fresh strawberries and shredded cocounut flakes, and B12 as supplements.
+ soaked cashew nuts and this makes the most creamy, chocolate cheesecake I’v ever tried. The genius behind the recipe is the founder of the blog Minimalist Baker, and here you can find more details and how to make this yummy dessert.
With a new MacBook Pro in my lap I’m feeling inspired to start blogging again. A lot have happened since last summer; I’ve studied design for a year, made some amazing new friends, our little one has ended his time in kindergarten and is starting school this fall, AND I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant with our second child! It’s truly a blessing and we are beyond happy and excited about becoming a family of four.
So with that sad, this blog is going to be all about our vegan lifestyle, parenting, motherhood, pregnancy, finding eco-friendly baby essentials, tips, recipes, some design and I hope to inspire you all to live a more sustainable life with the animals and the planet in mind.
Hope you will enjoy this as much as I will!
